Wildcat Season Opener
"Not quite Gene Hackman"
Tuesday, November 4th the King Science Wildcats faced off against the Morton panthers. The bleachers were filled, the energy was flowing and coach Brooker was as cool as the other side of the pillow.
A slow start put King Wildcats down by 10 at halftime.
After a dramatic halftime speech a new energy drove the Wildcats to erase the deficit from the first half and were able to tie the game with less than a minute remaining.
A heavy press was in place. A couple free throws went our way and with seconds remaining King clenched the victory with a score of 52-48.
We snatched the victory out of the jaws of defeat."Coach Brooker commented after the game.
All in all, it was a fun game to watch and the right way to start out the season.
